I’ve had this wall cabinet for many years. It’s super heavy and for that reason I have never hung it on a wall. Most of the time it would sit on a table top or a desk top as extra storage. But if it is sitting on top of something then it’s taking up valuable work surface space. So, I decided to make it a rolling work station that could move easily from room to room. Most of you are probably too young to get this reference…But, “Rollin, rollin, rollin… “ from the Blue Brothers movie kept playing in my mind for this project. “Keep them doggies rollin…”
How to Turn a Wall Cabinet Into a Rolling Work Table
How it began… I ended up with three wheeled dollies instead of two, a scrap piece of a stair tread for the top, heavy duty adhesive and adhesive gun, wallpaper and the cabinet.
I tested out the top. Perfect fit.
I decided to start with the wallpaper and removed the shelf.
Oh, how I love peel n stick wallpaper.
That went on super easy. 10/10, would highly recommend.
Time to adhere the top to the cabinet.
Using the adhesive gun you will liberally apply the adhesive to the cabinet top. This actually very fun.
All done and ready for the top.
I added some weights, you could use clamps. Most adhesives need pressure to be effective. I let this cure for several hours. Follow the manufacturer’s directions on your adhesive.
I added adhesive to the tops.
And there you have it. Pretty easy project. The back is going to be an entire different tutorial because it has lots of steps.
I’m going to use it as a part time beading station/sewing station.
It’s fun to give something that been around for ten years, a completely new life.

LOL I got the Blues Brothers reference right away! Love your repurposed wall cabinet, I have one of those stuck back in my utility room, but not for long. I plan to have wonderful rolling cart for laundry room essentials really soon. Thanks you, I'm now on a mission..(BB mission)
