Super Simple Serving Tray

I have a SUPER simple DIY for you guys that you are going to LOVE…at least I hope so. This was seriously one of my first ever projects and people seem to love them.
It’s a serving tray!
You will need:
Saw of some sort (miter saw is good, but when I made my first one, I used a little cheapo jigsaw)
Hammer and 1 3/8″ or longer nails (or nail gun if you have one)
6′ 1×6 board (or could use 1×4 for a narrower tray)
3′ 2×4 board (or could use 1×4)
Cut your boards to size. I cut my 1x6s 22" long, but you could cut them longer or shorter depending on your needs.
I cut my 2x4s 16 1/2" long. See blog post below for details on customization options.
Once your boards are cut, simply nails your 1x6s to the 1x4s from the underside and you tray is assembled! (More details on the blog post link below)

Once you stain or paint your tray, add handles and it's ready to go!
This would be good for decoration or to actually use as a serving tray for food and drinks!

This project seriously took about 10 minutes (not including time for the stain to dry), and is a really good beginner project. Give it a try!
