DIY Household Cleaners

Many of you know I like a clean house. I have also been working hard doing the research on eliminating chemicals in my home. I have some DIY household cleaners that I am using to share with you.
Multi Purpose Cleaner -
Put 3 Tablespoons Castile Soap and 2 cups water in a spray bottle. Shake well.
*Castile soap is a natural, non-toxic, multi-purpose vegetable based soap. It's biodegradable, you can get it scented or unscented, and categorized as a disinfectant and will kill 99% of germs.
You can use this to clean your kitchen, bathrooms, and just about anywhere in your home. As an added bonus - this cleaner is safe for granite counters!
Dishwasher Detergent -
Mix 1/2 cup washing soda, 1/2 cup borax, and 1/4 cup salt together.
Use 1 Tablespoon in your dishwasher. You'll save a ton of money by making this recipe.
*Need a rinse agent too? - just use straight vinegar in that dispenser.
Tile & Grout Cleaner -
You'll make a ratio of 1:10 of vinegar and water. (1 being the vinegar)
Squirt this on your tile in your kitchen back splash, your showers, tubs, etc and wipe up with a scrub pad or clean cloth.
*Have tile floors? Mix the same ratio of 1:10 in a bucket of water. Use a deck brush to clean your floors with this mixture. After, use a clean mop with a warm water rinse to mop it up.
Cleaning & Hand Wipes -
Mix 1 Tablespoon Castile soap and 1 cup water together. Cut a roll of paper towels in half and place in a container of your choice. Pour the water soap mixture over the paper towels. After a couple minutes, pull out the paper towel tube in the middle. It'll come right out. Pull the paper towels out of the middle.
*You can use reusable cloths instead. Place your clothes inside, pour the mixture over, use the cloth and then launder it. You can place the clean cloths back into the container.
Wipe off any surface to clean it. It's safe to use on granite, and you can also use this as hand wipes.
Wood Cleaner -
Mix 1/4 cup olive oil and 2 Tablespoons vinegar together.
Use this to clean and moisturize your wood surfaces with a microfiber cloth.
Soft Scrub -
Mix together 1/3 cup Castile soap, 2/3 cup baking soda, and 1 Tablespoon water.
Scoop some in your sinks, bathtubs, shower basins, etc. Scrub with a scrub pad and then rinse.
Air Freshener/Room Spray -
Mix 1 cup water, 1 Tablespoon baking soda, and a few drops of an essential oil of your choice (or feel free to leave it unscented as the baking soda is an odor eliminator) in a spray bottle.
Spray in a room you wish to deodorize.

These ideas are great for people with allergies and other health issues. I myself make my own solutions too but I’m going to try yours too.
