Had acquired this wonderful Metal Cabinet at a Garage Sale.. $15 yea!.. It was Vintage and the chrome on all 30 of the handles was peeling off and some places were showing rust.. icon
These are the before Handles, I had taken them off to clean. But it was too hard icon
I gave up and lived with the cabinet and just stuck taped labels on the drawers..
Yuck taped Labels ...
I had made a jar of Vinegar and Orange peels and it had been sitting on my kitchen counter for a couple of weeks and had not gotten up to clean anything, so disappointed icon
I Threw all 30 Handles into a container with the Vinegar and Citrus peel mix and let it set a few days.. The handles were so flakey and rusty.
Oh My ! What a Difference.. They came out of the mixture and I used a soap pad a bit and they were down to the original steel and no chrome or rust ... I did use the Rotor Tool to polish up.. and then I learned how to use a Rivet Gun.. which was soooooo simple...
Put a tile boarder on the sink cut out I had been using for the top. Used the computer to print out the labels and it is now again, my favorite piece...

Thank you, that solution really works.. I'm soaking an old wire bale handle in vinegar now.. I'm hoping for the best..:)
