My workshop is usually a disaster but I recently organized it and painted the floor. I'll show you how to organize a messy work space with inexpensive storage solutions that don't break the budget.

This is usually what my basement workshop looks like after a day of crafting and creating. As you can see I've made use of all kinds of found jars and organizers. The workbenches came from Costco several years ago and were a great inexpensive find.

I began collecting jelly jars a while back and made labels using my Cricut Joy machine. You can see the Joy in process below. I store everything from screws and nails to small hangers, spools, and hardware in the jars, keeping everything within reach.

Storage solutions like shelves, file drawers and clear front Ikea drawers were all found on the side of the road and hold everything from paints and stains, to ribbon, drawer hardware, and fabrics.

A vintage metal rolling shelf found at a garage sale was painted red and now holds my vinyl cutting machine.

Dollar store bins with labels hold craft supplies and parts.

I used my Cricut Joy vinyl cutter to easily create labels for all the bins.

I hang my stencils from pants hangers that hang from the pipes in the basement ceiling. I can see every stencil and they are up and out of the way. An old metal shelf I bought for pennies has a wire rack attached to the front that holds paint chips and charts using wooden clothespins.

Another workbench holds the chop saw. A reclaimed gate holds tools on the wall and a stenciled peg board holds more tools, tape, and scissors.

I recently painted the basement floor and added a stenciled brick design.

The beautiful golden brick design on the floor reflects the light and brightens the space. You can read all about it by visiting this post.

The finished floor and the found and painted table finished off the room with a pop of color.

When everything is put back in its place, this workshop is functional and everything has a repurposed place.

Thanks so much for visiting I hope I gave you some ideas for budget friendly organization and storage ideas for your craft room.
