Hello, I'm Cindy from Cloches & Lavender where I share crafts, DIY'S and decorating ideas.

Let’s make DIY napkin rings! Thanksgiving is around the corner. So, I made new napkin rings.

The best part about these DIY napkin rings, they are fast to make. In fact, they are so fast it will amaze you.

So, I remembered, I had bought these seagrass napkin rings. I came up with an idea that makes these DIY napkin rings perfect for Thanksgiving.

Also, I think these will work great for Christmas too.

Items Needed:

  • napkin rings
  • self stick moss
  • acorn caps
  • scissors
  • glue gun and glue sticks

First using a piece of leftover ribbon, I measured the length I’d needed to cut my moss for my napkin rings.

By the way, this is a good time to heat the glue gun.

Next, using a good scissors I cut six strips of moss for my DIY napkin rings. Then, I carefully remove the backing of my first strip of moss. I say carefully because the self stick moss I buy is very sticky.

Next, I added a thin line of hot glue. I did this because, I wanted to make sure the moss will stay put.

Lastly, add a bit of glue to the edge of the acorn tops and attach. I added three but one looks pretty too.

I also love these because they keep with how I enjoy using natural elements in our home.

I look forward to sharing my Thanksgiving table with you next week!

Can you believe how fast and easy these DIY napkin rings are, I can’t. I think these will be pretty for my Thanksgiving table as well as Christmas.

Are you getting things ready for the holidays too? Let me know what yor are working on in the comments.

Hello. I see a lot of little bits of the moss all over the table where you made your project...I wonder, is there something that will keep the moss on the napkin ring and off the table, plate, floor while in use, napkin being removed, etc.? Thank you for your assistance and the lovely tutorial. Blessings!

Looks cute but no, this green stuff sheds everywhere, I’d have to use some other kind of greenery that wouldn’t make a mess all over the table and plates.

    • Add a coat of Mod Podge and it doesn't shed
