Have a party for memorial day? Need some decor that is fast and easy to make your Memorial Day party a hit, take a look at this fun and EASY tealight holders made from paper and a flag banner.
Start wit some 12x12 scrapbook paper, I chose white that had a little embossing to it for something fun, a foil USA banner from the Dollar Tree, some red foiled star stuck paper from Rinea, some star shaped tealights from the Dollar Tree, scissors, and adhesive.
You cut the papers to be squares in measurements of 12, 10, 8, and 6 inches. The you fold them to make the stars. You fold then into triangles 3 times, then fold into a cone, and cut a sharp angle to make it a point. it is hard to show as a picture, so please see my video it has a full tutorial on how to cut these to make them stars.
Here are the finished stars. I made 2 white (12" and 8"), red foiled paper in the 10", and the flag banner as the 6". Now you just stack them on top of each other largest on the bottom and place a tealight it the center.
Curl up the edges of the stars to make them point up for some fun dimension, and you have an amazing table decor that lights up when the party goes into the night!!
This could easily be some 4th of July party decor too!!

You do know that you really only need to do one cut--the angle on the second cut is the only one necessary. Why make it harder doing that first cut?

I only cut it once, it is folded 3 times then cut - if you know a fast and easier way score, i would love to learn - always game for new things :)
