Yankee Blue, Honky Tonk Red and Fluff for Fourth of July! Would you like to create these festive red, white and blue mason jars? Keep reading to find out how Savanna completed this project!
An easy way to spice up your home decor is to paint a few mason jars! You can put real or fake flowers in them, marbles, use them for storage or just as a decoration.
First these jars were given a full coat of Yankee Blue. Tacky Goo was applied to the lid and painted on in the shape of stars.
Next Dixie Belle Gold Shine was used to emphasize the details. To use Dixie Shine you place the shine over the wet Tacky Goo and rub off the sheet using a Dixie Belle Brush.
For the red and white stripes Savanna painted them on individually for a hand crafted look. You can also use tape for bold lines, or you may choose to use one color as the base and paint the other color on after it dries.
Savanna used Yankee Blue, Honky Tonk Red and Fluff for this project.
Here are what the jars look like after being painted.
And here is the final look after the Gold Shine was added to the project!
Easy peasy project and lots of fun! This is perfect for kids or just a great activity to celebrate the Fourth of July!
