Give your Super Bowl spread the DIY treatment with these super easy and super cute football jars!! Perfect for holding flowers, cutlery, or napkins...and just in time for the BIG game!!

Use clear glass jars, like a Mason jar or a recycled ( cleaned and label removed) sauce jar... I like to use the taller jars to give a little height to my game-day displays. You'll also need brown craft paint (football color--or something close), a craft brush, scissors and a roll of white adhesive tape from the first aid aisle. I found that I could create two large football jars with one regular bottle of craft paint.

Squeeze about half the paint into the empty clear glass jar.

Swirl the paint inside, covering all of the inside surface.

Once the paint is covering all the inside surfaces of the glass jar, let dry. (The drying process can take 12-24 hours-- use a fan to help speed the process along)

To create the football, cut a piece of the adhesive tape to almost the length of the jar.

Apply the tape in the middle of the glass jar.

Using smaller pieces, add adhesive tape to mimic a real football. I used 5 pieces.

Space the smaller pieces equally apart. Set football jar upright.

Fill football jar with napkins, cutlery or flowers!! For the flowers i placed a smaller cup inside so to not disrupt the paint on the inside of the jar. For the cutlery I used a paper cup to keep them from falling to the bottom of the jar.

So cute!! and so easy!!

The team is all here!! Ready for a BIG win!! I think a small collection of these cute football jars make a BIG impact!!

This project is easy enough for kids, or scouts to do too!!

There will be no penalty for this DIY craft!!

Touchdown!! -- This easy craft adds a nice touch to any game day and can be used again and again!
