Make these easy graduation favors that you can fill with anything! They look like graduation caps, complete with tassels, and add a great decorative element to any graduation ceremony.

Materials

These easy graduation favors are made with take-out cups, card stock, yarn, and flat-backed pearls (but you could use a small circle of paper, or a sequin, or a rhinestone, or many things instead of the pearls I used).

Making the Tassel

Make a simple tassel out of yarn for the graduation cap favors.

Assemble the Graduation Cap

Cut a strip of paper to make the base of the graduation cap, and glue to the bottom of the clear plastic cup. Cut a square of paper for the top of the graduation cap, and glue to the bottom of the cup. Add the tassel and pearl (to cover the ends of the tassel where it gets glued to the paper).

Filling the Graduation Favors

I filled my graduation favors with cotton candy and added a Class of 2019 sticker to the front of the container. Popcorn would also make a great, bulky favor. If you're using more expensive materials to fill the cups, you could always use smaller plastic cups than I used and make smaller versions of these graduation favors. See my blog post linked below for full details on how to make this project.
