4 DIY Fall Scents for Your Home

From pumpkin spice to apple cinnamon, fall scents are quickly coming back into style this year. Many stores sell overpriced candles and sprays that can help your home smell like fall again. Yet, there are many homemade recipes for these scents that are a fraction of the cost of the store bought items. Check out four great DIY fall scent recipes that you can make in your home.
.) Fall Potpourri with Dried Fruit and Nuts
fall-scents
Helloglow’s fall potpourri is made out of dried fruit and nuts which can add a crisp fall scent to your home. The essential oils mixed with the cinnamon sticks and pinecones makes for a strong blend of fall scents. The dried fruits and nuts not only smell beautiful, but can look beautiful too. Putting this homemade potpourri in a mason jar can make a great gift for this fall season! Check out the recipe below:
“Ingredients:
Dried apple slices
Dried orange slices
Whole nuts (with shells)
Cinnamon sticks
Whole cloves
Juniper berries
Dried rose hips
Laurel (bay) leaves
Pine cones
Essential oils: cedar wood, clove, cinnamon, orange and pine are all great together
Instructions:
I just eyeball it and add bigger handfuls of the larger items (pine cones, cinnamon sticks, nuts, orange slices) and smaller handfuls of the smaller, colorful and highly scented items (rose hips, cloves, juniper berries, bay leaves, etc). I put everything into a big jar, sprinkle with the essential oils and gently toss. Then it’s ready to put in small bowls to display or package up to give away.”
2.) Apple Pie Simmer Pot
