While browsing my local thrift store in the summer I spotted this yellow Bunt cake pan, at the time I had no clue what I was going to do with it but I figured eventually I would figure something out so I bought it. Fast forward a few months and I now have this unique fall centrepiece!
First step was to gather my supplies which consisted of my Bunt pan, an old round grater, odds and ends of fall flowers from previous projects, a piece of rope and a battery operated candle. You will also need a block of flower foam, glue gun and wire cutters.
Next take your rope, wrap around top rim of pan. Cut to fit, use glue gun to secure.
Next take your grater and place over hole in the middle of pan.
Take your foam block and cut into pieces, about 1 inch wide, or depending on depth of your pan you may want to cut the pieces bigger.
Taking the foam pieces place them around the bottom of the pan, make sure they fit tight so they do not fall out.
Next take your flowers and cut to about 4 or 5 inches in length. I had arrangements that had squash, berries etc in it. These can also be purchased at Dollarama or Michaels.
Once cut start inserting them into your foam where you want them.
Next take your candle and place it inside the grater. You may wish to use a real candle, I did not have one on hand that would fit so I opted for the battery operated one.
Here it is finished and candle lit. Absolutely love how this turned out! My favorite fall decor so far this season.
