I love old, wood ironing boards. I have picked up a few in the past and when I saw this board, I couldn't pass it up because the wood was so beautiful.
When I started decorating our home for fall, I needed something to finish off the vignette around our entry table. The ironing board was sitting in the garage and I thought I could make it the perfect piece the entry table needed.
I used my {aff} Hazel & Ruby Stencil Masks to add some fall words to the ironing board.
Once I had the letters where I wanted them, I painted the entire ironing board with {aff} Picket Fence from Fusion Mineral Paint. With the paint still wet, I removed the stencils. I wanted to deepen the color of the wood that was showing underneath and the white paint so I sanded the entire ironing board and used Enhance all over it. It made the fall sign perfect! The wood popped and the white paint was not so stark. Perfect for fall.
This ironing board sign was the perfect addition to the entry table. To find more details about this makeover, head over to my blog! https://mycreativedays.porch.com/diy-farmhouse-fall-sign/
