Wanted to bring a little color to a corner in my family room. Since we are still in the winter season I didn’t want spring flowers and we are past Christmas so poinsettias would be too much. The green and white combination gave me a simple wreath that “kept that winter look”. The cotton was a Christmas gift and I had the grapevine wreath. I pulled off the old flowers that were on the wreath and repurposed it. I have listed the prices for everything if you need to pick it up!
I started with a 14” grapevine wreath.
While in Michaels I looked in the floral section it see what would give me a full look without using large leaves. I got two stems of bamboo. I love the long slender darker green look. I got my wire cutters and cut off the shorter stems from the main thick stem so I had more to work with.
Working counter clockwise I pushed the stems into the grapevine to give me a good full look.
I three stems and cut the shorter stems off the main stem . Again that will give you more freedom to place them where you want them.
I had this ribbon leftover from Christmas. I decided on the white because I thought a bright color would be too much for the area. The old wood I used to make the “gate look” wall had no bright color in it. If you are going to hang your wreath near a picture or a piece of furniture, you could pick a color from that for your ribbon.
This is the finished wreath. Hope this will give you ideas if you want to accent something in your room.
