Boutonnieres don’t get enough attention, and if you ask me, they should. They’re the unsung heroes of the groom’s party, if everyone is wearing a different suit or uniform, they’ll be the only common element.Much like bouquets with the bride’s maids, they need to be unassuming but cohesive and tie-in with the overall feeling and theme.
Materials for Boutonnieres:
  • Thistle Spray in Blue
  • Dusty Miller
  • Eucalyptus Bush in Green
  • Blue Velvet Ribbon
  • Floral Wire &  Floral Tape
  • Boutonnieres Magnets
  • Scissors and wire cutters
Step 1: Chose your components from your floral selection.
Step 2: Arrange them as you’d like them to look, and then wrap them with floral wire
Step 3: If you’ll be wrapping their stems in ribbon (like we will) you’ll want to glue the middle of your piece to the back of the bound arrangement.
You’ll then glue the thin part of the magnet sets on top of the ribbon.
Step 4: Then wrap the rest of the stems with the two sides of ribbon. Use your hot glue gun to ensure they’re tight and secure.
And there you have it! Winter wedding boutonnieres in about 4 minutes, done using bouquet and centerpiece scraps. these boutonnieres will look so clean and elegant against a suite. They maintain enough whimsy without being feminine.
