This is a great remembrance or last minute gift for someone who surprised you with one you weren't expecting. Since you've more than likely gone through your Holiday budget these are inexpensive too icon You more than likely have most of the supplies on hand.

This is a great Gift Jar. Not a cake or cookies or soup, but Cinnamon Pancakes.
They are yummy too. Great for little Thank You or Thinking of You Gifts.
My neighbors love these.
You need:
Quart size Mason jars or any empty jar that size (spaghetti sauce, pickle, etc. jars work well)
Their lids
White card stock
Doilies, cheesecloth, or fabric
Ribbon
Some ingredients from your pantry

In a bowl mix:
3 cups all-purpose Flour
3 Tablespoons Sugar
2 Tablespoons Baking Powder
4  1/2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
1  1/4 teaspoons Salt
Place ingredients in jar.

On card stock or paper, whatever you chose to do, print out the directions that go along with the jar of dry ingredients.

In medium bowl, combine 3/4 cup milk, 1 Egg, and 2 Tablespoons Oil. With fork, blend in 1 1/3 cups Pancake mix until moistened but still lumpy. Cook on lightly greased griddle or skillet.
Makes about 10 5" Pancakes

Attach directions to the jar. I just placed mine on top of the lid.
You can use fabric, doilies, etc. to decorate the top of the jar.
I pick up doilies and the like when I see them at yard sales.
They come in handy and have so many uses besides their intended one.
It Just happened I had 3 of these red ones.
Placed the doily on top, wove ribbon around outer edge...
And voila!
I also printed out some tags which I just tied onto the ribbon, explaining what the mix was.
You could also use stained cheesecloth to cover the lids
like I did on these Jam and Jelly Jars
It just happened earlier in the year I found some new pancake molds at a sale for 10 cents each! I grabbed a bunch, having no idea what I was going to do with them at the time.
Well, they came in handy. I was able to add one to each jar.
You could also add a wooden spoon, spatula, or another related gadget.

These really make great thoughtful, homemade, and inexpensive gifts.
These are just a few of what I made, but they make up pretty quick.
