Christmas Home Tour - Modern Living in a 100 Year Old Home

When I went on the Waynesboro, VA Christmas Home Tour a few weekends ago the fifth home that I toured really struck a chord with me. The home is 100 years old, yet the owner has updated it with modern decor that keeps its historic charm all while being comfortable for a family of four that includes two young boys. The homeowner graciously allowed me to do a special post featuring her beautiful home.
The home owners have lived here since 2008 but the home has been in the family since the 1960's.
I love the white picket fence surrounding the home. The front porch wraps around the side and is large enough for a table and chairs for outdoor dining in warm weather. The back yard is large and flat, perfect for play for the boys.
Beautiful and large dining room.

After seeing this wagon wheel displayed on the wall, I asked my mom to give me her wooden one that has been in a barn for years. You can see more pictures of this room on my blog post.

This kitchen was so cute in person. I'm wondering if the homeowner might keep a small table on top of the rug and perhaps moved it for the tour.

Don't miss the family room, foyer, and three bedrooms upstairs that can be seen on my blog post.
If you like farmhouse style, you do not want to miss this tour. See my blog for the full tour.
