I bought a red lantern lantern six months ago at Old Time Pottery. I couldnt wait to display it. I love that it lights up. I had seen a display using a lantern, greenery and a wood container. I didn't have a wood container but I had a white metal bucket. Now I all needed was greenery. I found a nice mixture all in one bag at RedRacks. And only for $6.99. I had everything else I needed at home. Now to get started.
I gathered my other supplies I needed. I needed the lantern to sit up high so I modified a shoe box to fit in the bucket. It was too long so I had to cut it down.
The greenery was an old Christmas arrangement. I pulled all of the greenery off the piece of foam. I put the foam between the box and the lantern. That way I could stick the picks into the foam around the lantern to cover the box and the inside of the bucket.
I inserted all of the picks until it was full all around the lantern. There were white and red berry picks besides the greenery picks. I then taped the red glittery snowflake to the front of the bucket. I tied a plaid ribbon around the top and added a berry pick.I placed the bucket on a large iron candle holder to get it up off the floor. Now all I have to do is put it on my front porch. First I have to take my Fall decorations down after Thanksgiving.

It cost $6.99 Not $699. I'm too cheap to spend that much.
