We don't have a real Fireplace or mantel in our home so I decided to make them with chalkboard paint and a White Floating shelf. it turned out so WELL. I just love it!
First we painted the wall with chalk board paint.
We then 'Seasoned' the whole wall with chalk.
After that we hung a white floating shelf on it to look like a mantel. Then I used a level to draw the bricks on it.
Then I just drew the flames, wood, and added decor around Theodore the deer.
