Tiny Christmas Trees With Lights - Quick and Easy Decor

These little Christmas trees with string lights are my favorite kind of project for this time of the year. They're quick, super easy to make and look amazing as part of your table decor, on the mantle or even a window sill.

Isn't it just so cute and depending on the kind of branches you use to make them they can last up to a week. This little one is made from a Lemon Cypress but anything from the fir or the cypress family will work. Besides the branches you'll also need string or glue, cardstock and 20 LED cork fairy lights (not pictured below).

Cut the branches about 4 or 5 times the height of the cork portion of the fairy lights. For each little tree you'll need 3-5 branches. Bunch the branches together and start wrapping the fairy lights at the top most point. Wrap the lights back and forth between the branches working your way downwards. When you reach the bottom, wrap the string lights a few times around all the branches to secure them.

Tie the branches around the cork with some string or glue them on if you prefer. To hide the cork, I covered it with a tube made from cardstock. The cardstock "planter" helps stabilize the little trees. Place the cork inside the planter and fill with some moss or coconut fibre and you're done.

Switch the lights on and enjoy.

Let me know what you think. Is it something you would add to your festive decor?

And if you're looking for more small Christmas tree ideas then you'll love these geometric ones that can be styled in two different ways or these boho inspired macrame trees. The perfect beginner macrame project

Battery lights safer in event anyone forgets that drying/dried fir branch/tree is TINDER with regular lights malfunction. They’re available, if you leave on may have to replace batteries often— but freedom from worry worth it!
