Blue and White Painted Pumpkins
Listen, I would have had this painted pumpkin post done a little while ago but when I came in from the she-shed after finishing it up on my Wednesday Facebook Live, my husband reminded me that I needed to catch up on real housewives. Tell me I am not the only one who loves to watch other women’s drama on TV!!! I used to be so ashamed to tell people that I watched the real housewives but not today. Today, I am owning it. I bet you have a “thing” too! LOL Yeah girl, I know you do! It’s okay your secret is safe with me. No judgement here! Okay, the reason you’re here! Blue and White painted pumpkins.
I am sure you have seen my blue willow dishes in my kitchen and since I am on a pumpkin kick I thought it would be fun to be matchy matchy and paint some pumpkins to match my china! I love how these pumpkins turned out!
supply list
- Paper Mache pumpkin
- White glossy paint
- Navy Blue paint
- Gold paint
- Paint brushes
- First Coat of Paint
Paint your pumpkin with two layers of the glossy white paint.
Paint the stem gold.
Practice your painting skills on a sheet of paper (preferably a canvas or watercolor paper to keep it for framing later).
Paint your patterns on your pumpkins.
Now that my pumpkins are painted and displayed so beautifully in my kitchen, I think that means I need to make dinner! Unlike the housewives, I don’t have a personal chef! What should I make? Hmmmmm.
Drop your painted pumpkins below! I would love to see your creations.

These are very pretty. There are so many different and creative ways of painting and decorating pumpkins. I myself have painted a couple using the Mandela dotting technique. But don't we have to ask ourselves sometimes what is wrong with a beautiful orange pumpkin in it's natural state ? I guess as crafters like myself we just have that urge to make things different and unique. I paint just about anything I can get my hands on - I just find it amusing that we do this.🙂
