Using Cutting Edge Stencils' "Paint-a-Pillow" kit, I created a spooky but elegant Halloween pillow, inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's "The Raven". Find out how you can re-create this literary look and add a little poetic influence to your Halloween decor.
1 Paint-a-Pillow Kit (includes pillow case and form, stencil frame, stencil, paint, roller, brush, and paint tray)

Crow stencil

Small foam roller

Round, flat-bristle brush

Black and white acrylic paint

Black Sharpie fabric pen

Grey or black braid

Hi-Tak craft glue (or any super-tacky fabric glue)
In the kit, the stencil and pillow case come already attached to the stencilling frame. If you are creating your pillow without a kit, you will need to tape your pillow case and stencil firmly to a flat surface.
