it is what it is - cardboard! So why not put it to a good use after emptying the contents?

Why does cardboard often end up in the landfills? So many times I see things being sold for use as organization.
I have always had a hard time tossing oat meal cardboard cartons, tubes, boxes in to the trash. Just what are these containers called anyway? Are they boxes, or do boxes have to have corners to really be a box?

These tubes are strong and deep. The cardboard is sturdy and holds up for a long time as long as they do not get wet.

Some of the these are made with a plastic lips and those are even stronger and hold up even better.

Turned on their side they make super shoe caddies. Even if they get a bit out of their original shape they still serve the purpose.

It is amazing how they hold shoes, except for the larger styles. If I had put a cord or even duct tape around the stack it would have helped support the round shape.

I also use these tubes, boxes, cartons, (you name them what you wish)
for storing different sized bags. Since I have an alteration shop, I use a lot of bags for all those small items customers bring in for alterations, as well as for garment bags.

If it fits, its sits is the motto right? These tubes make great caddies for what ever your creative mind can dream up. Share how you use them.

How did you use them afterwards?

i don’t use cardboard in my cabinets because mice and rats love to feed on cardboard and the glues used in them. Especially in winter months if you live in rural areas or heavily populated cities, avoid the use of paper products for storage. I learned the hard way. Nothing but rubber and metal for me now.
