Cat Bed From Cardboard

My son's cat is very social and loves to hang out with us, especially in our homeschool room. We didn't have a bed down there for her, so she would bug the kids by sleeping on their laps or sit beside the monitor for attention. There was a large roll of corrugated cardboard left here when we moved in, so I set out to make her a bed from that.
The bed was easy to make, but it was time consuming. I started by measuring how wide I wanted the bed to be and then started cutting strips. After I cut several strips the same width, I started rolling them.
I used hot glue to hold the cardboard together. Then I rolled, glued, rolled, and glued some more until it was the size I wanted it.

When rolling, make sure that the same side is always down and try to keep it flat. Then ensures that one side will be flat since your cut strips won't all be perfect. When you flip it over, it won't matter that it's a little bit uneven.
After I was done, I painted some stripes for some color. Chloe is our princess, so I painted it purple, the color of royalty. As you can see, she loves her new bed! Learn more about this DIY cat bed on my blog.
