DIY Blue Hobnail Glass Vase

My mother collected all kinds of glass ware throughout her life. She loved almost anything blue and had a nice collection of depression glass. But the pieces I loved the most that she had were the hobnail glass pieces she had - especially the blue ones.
I had seen this done on Pinterest with white but never in the blue. So decided to make my own.
I picked up a fluted clear glass vase from Dollar Tree that was an exact replica of one of the vases she used to have. I then proceeded to cover it with dots from puffy paint. Very simple just a little time consuming. Let it dry overnight.
Then I painted it with some blue craft paint I had on hand that closely resembled the color she had.
Now I have a replica of my Mother's glass ware I loved as a child.

Love it! It also reminds me of vases my mother had when I was a child. Add some pretty flowers from the garden and it could also be a beautiful gift for someone!
