Easy Mother’s Day Flowers & Great Gift Idea

Hi Friends, How are you today?
I know some of you in far away areas are preparing for storms and hope you are ok. Us crazy southern Californians are getting ready for 97 degree weather today….Uggghhh. (and it was raining on Friday here). So silly.
Today I’m sharing a great Mother’s Day Flowers Gift Idea (or decorating idea) for you.
I’m so excited about these and LOVE the way they turned out. I found the Mason Jars for .99 Cents each (and I had a 30% off Coupon) and they were already painted gold inside too. These cost me under $3 to make & the Hydrangeas were $8 at Ralphs so I’ll show you how I made these for under $11.
You need: 3 Mason Jars, Craft Paint to paint inside if you want them gold, M & O Stamps, White Craft Paint, Scrap of Burlap and some Twine……………and your pretty flowers.
I cut three small pieces of burlap 3″ x 1/2″. I set them on a paper towel so it would leak onto my counter. When stamping I’ve found painting the paint onto the stamp works best for me as the paint is more evenly controlled.
Then I just press down firmly and hold for a second or two and lift my stamp straight up.
Once it was dry (which is minutes) I poked a hole with my scissors and strung some twine through. I already had this, remember I bought it last year at Michaels for about $4 and I’ve used it for so many projects.
I then tied the letters around each jar.
And Voila!!! I LOVE these Mason Jar Flowers!!

I remembered I had found this cool wire basket a while back ($4 at a thrift store) and put the jars inside and LOVE it that way even more.
It got my wheels spinning, and I thought although it looks great on our Dining Room table, “This could look really great on our Mantel.” Oh boy now I’m gonna shop my house and see what I can come up with for a cool Mother’s Day Mantel. Stay tuned, I’ll work on it and share that later in the week.
I think this is an awesome idea for any of our Mom’s and great for dad’s to put together (ok, we may have to help them, right) too. I could see my brother (who has three little kids) doing this and then each child can hand mom a jar which they would love.

It’s also great because it shows just a little more effort then running in and grabbing a bouquet….which I’ve definitely done many times…lol. Let’s say I’m trying to help us all plan ahead…lol.
