Upcycle those old plastic bits in your kitchen into fantastic new decor with my Easy Painted Marble Vase DIY:

You just may have everything you need in your house right now so let’s get making!

Snag your victim as well as a large plastic container that you don't have to reuse for anything else and a couple of old nail polish colours that you have lurking in your stash. (leftover oil-based paints work well too!)

Fill the container halfway with clean water.

Pour, swirl and drip some of the nail polish colours on the top of the water. The polish/paint should float if it's oil-based and you can get a good idea of what your "marble" will eventually look like.

Slowly dip your item through the polish and into the water.

Pull it out and admire your lovely now marbled décor!

Allow to dry completely and display!

This technique also works fabulously on glass and ceramic (but is not dishwasher safe).

I’ve used this same technique to marble eggs. Beautiful effect!

I love all these. The dinos, the blue, the marbling, and the red Folger's cans. I still have mine I use for sugar, pancake mix, and cake decorating supplies. These jars you have look very cute. Not just the lids, the jars are very attractive.
