Faux Magnolia Stems
This will be the fastest, simplest but lovely DIY home decor you will do! Guess what else, it will only cost about $3 🙌🏻
When I saw this DIY project posted by a friend I follow on IG, I fell in love and ran to my nearest Dollar Tree to get the faux magnolia stems so I could make one of my own. I’m so glad I did because it turned out so beautiful and very soft looking.
Step 1 Branches
As I pulled up to my sister’s house one day, I saw her tree and knew I’d use these branches for my project. I took a few stems, went home and quickly got started. I’m not sure what type of tree it was but the branches had a pretty color. You can use any type you’d like.
Step 2 Gather Magnolias
This is a close up of the magnolia stems I purchased from the Dollar Tree. The pink is muted and not vibrant which I loved. They had a bright pink but felt this looked more natural.
Step 3 - Hot Glue the Magnolias
Next you place a few drops of hot glue on to the branches. I first placed all the branches into my vessel. I chose to use a wooden candle holder but you can use a vase or anything else you want to display your arrangement in.
Step 4 - Adhering the Magnolias
After placing the branches/stems into the vessel, I envisioned where I wanted the magnolias placed and then hot glued them in place. It’s that simple!
Step 5 - Placing the arrangement in its final place
Here it is completed and exactly where I envisioned it look great. I really love how it came out and it was so simple! I used 2.5 stems which had about 4 to 5 flowers per stem. I hope You like it. Very pretty. I would give it a try in a heart beat, but with the virus situation that's going on, stores are closed early. So have to put it on hold.
