Mio Bottle Mini-Vase

I almost threw out this empty Mio bottle when I thought of a cute idea that would keep it out of the landfill, and I love the way it turned out.
I made a small cut in the label with my craft knife and the label came off very easily.
The cap came off with a good twist. I rinsed out the bottle thoroughly and dried it off.
Using a makeup brush, I daubed on Matte finish ModPodge so the paint wouldn't peel off.
After the first coat of ModPodge dried I added a second coat, making sure there weren't any missed spots.
When the second coat of ModPodge was dry (about 20 minutes), I used the same makeup sponge to daub on some Americana Metallic "Glorious Gold" gloss enamel. I let that dry and added a second coat to even out the coverage.
It wouldn't show if I hadn't painted the inside of the neck but I like to be thorough. The corner of the makeup sponge was just right for that.
I wanted my little vase to sparkle so after the paint was dry I brushed on a coat of Pantone's "MyColor" gold glitter craft paint.
My son got married last month and my corsage had dried so nicely - my new mini-vase is perfect for it!
