A friend of mine just recently moved into a new home. She decided to go for a nautical theme in her kitchen. I wanted to help out as I LOVE crafting any and everything! She ran across a canister at Kohls to sit on the kitchen counter or stove to store your utensils in. It was super cute but super expensive! It was darn near $60!!! No way!!! As soon as I saw it I knew I could make it at a fraction of the cost! So I did!!!
Check it out below!!!
I love feedback!! Let me know what you think!

My friend is in love and cannot believe how easy it was to make. She's absolutely thrilled and wants to do all sorts of projects now. She keeps telling me I created a crafting monster. Hahaha. Welcome to my world!!! I can't stop doing crafts. Lol.
Before. A blue vase I already Owned. It sat in a cupboard collecting dust. I pulled it out, washed it up and started my project.
My materials. Everything purchased was $1/piece at Walmart.I decided not to use some of these beads and go with some beads I already owned.
Hot glue guns are life! I seriously use mine for EVERYTHING!!!
I flipped the vase over and started at the bottom working my way down. I would glue a section at a time, wiping away any excess glue that would come thru. It also helped to hold the material down to the glass.
I wrapped it half way up and around twice. I wanted it to look full at the bottom rather than the glass showing thru.
I then made a necklace out of the beads. Putting it around the neck of the vase. It's not attached to the vase, it just fits perfectly around like a choker. Adding an anchor for the nautical theme. I'm loving this!!!
And done!!!Throw some wooden utensils in and it's complete!
