I wanted to give my niece a picture of her dancing so I decided to use an old cabinet door that I didn't need anymore.
I had to clean it well first and sand it a little.
Remove the hardware with a screw driver.
This was going to be the back, so I didn't care if it had holes.
I decided to use this part for the top and add something to be able to hang it on the wall.
measure and mark the center.
Nail it with a hammer.
I printed the picture on my inkjet but you can have it printed at your local pharmacy photo too. I cut it to be "square". I also cut a piece of clear plastic from a "slip in" clear project folder to use as a protector of the photograph.
I painted the background light blue to match the blue from the picture with acrylic paint.
Then I painted the frame with a charcoal color acrylic paint. After it dried, I sanded it a little and then added a coat of wipe-on-poly for a touch of shine and protection.
I glued the picture and the clear plastic sheet and added a sticker on top.
I finished it with some rhinestones in the corners to keep it all in place using a hotglue gun. Done. I hope she likes it.
