With a little of effort You can make really cool (for kids) lamp which looks like real ballon with the basker, sandbags and the passangers from beloved cartoon.
As You can see, my son loves Winnie the Pooh, so my wife made for him a ballon with the little fellow from this cartoon. My son is really pleased with such lamp in his room.

Here is complete video tutorial showing how to make balloon lamp. But if You don't want to watch, read the guide below.
Those are all needed parts. As You can see not to much, nothing fancy and expensive.
First You need to make a balloon from lampshade.Cut the 8 pieces from the rope, each 1/3 longer than the lampshade. Then tight them to the top of the lampshade. Hang everything to easier work.Use the additional rope to make horizontal balloon net
Now take the basket and remove the holder from it. Then tight it to the ropes. Watch that the basket should be well leveled.
Electric wire should be attached to the top of the lampshade. Use the ropes and make a knot between ropes and wire. And You are almost done now.
Last thing to do-put the little fellows to the basket:)
