I got an old tv cabinet that had great doors, but everything else was pretty bad. Decided not to try and rehab the whole thing, but instead use the doors.
These are the doors. They needed a little help, but all and all pretty good. Took off the handles and did some sanding.
This was the inside after the doors were off. Wasn't anything inside that I felt I wanted to use.
These are the two doors after sanding.
And the two doors after staining one and painting the other. Stain was a cherry stain and the door was a light blue chalk paint. After they were done, I distressed both the doors and the brass plate.
This one is for my daughter and her family who are moving. Printed the photo images on a transparency and then Mod Podged onto wood. The saying was a Dr. Seuss saying which I reversed printed and then applied with mod podge, waited over night, and got wet and used my fingers to take paper off. Then lightly sanded after all was done.
This coat rack (I don't have the hooks on yet but they will either be white or glass door knob hooks) is my French Themed one. Did the reverse print, apply mod podge, wait 24 hours, then take off with water and lightly sanded. I'm pretty happy with both of them, and the first one is a GREAT keepsake for my daughter and family.
