DIY Kitchen Cabinet Chalkboard

Use this DIY kitchen cabinet chalkboard tutorial idea to create a space for daily inspiration, functional reminders, or family messages.

The other day I was making coffee for a large group of people and as I searched the internet for the correct conversions again I had the thought that I should write these down inside the coffee bar cabinet.

Then I figured that since I was creating a chalkboard inside one cabinet I should do a couple of them.

For a coffee cabinet, consider writing down the water to coffee conversions, or your favorite coffee quote.

Write one of your favorite quotes inside a frequently opened kitchen cabinet.

From the moment I heard this line from the new “Cinderella”, it became one of my favorites.

Have courage and be kind. For where there is kindness there is goodness, and where there is goodness there is magic.

Write medicine dosages on the inside of a medicine cabinet.

I have not done much with Chalkboard paint yet but want to. Can you tell me what you prime with and do you use a sealant at the end?

Hi ! Your kitchen is beautiful !!!!

I did this to my cabinets about 5 years ago , when I did a DIY quick kitchen make over . I had just finished doing my cabinets , I glued beadboard to the fronts to cover up the 1970's scalloped cabinet fronts and painted them white .

my husband opened the cabinet to get something and asked me why I didn't paint the inside of the cabinet door , it looked unfinished ...😟 I solved that problem by painting the inside with chalkboard paint ! I love it and it is so handy ! Keeping lists , appointments , the time you put something in the oven ....
