Do you have old magazines, newspapers, cards, etc? Turn them into a fun 3D recycled wreath! You can see more of my crazy creations here

I started with this farmhouse pallet board I found at Walmart. I flipped it over so that I could use the inside (as seen in this photo). I removed the hanging equipment so I could start with a clean slate.

You could leave the wood as is, I just wanted a little more contrast for my project. I painted the entire piece with Folk Art Home Décor Wood Tint in the color Walnut. Once it was painted I let it dry completely.

I used an old magazine for my project but you could easy use old cards, newspaper, junk mail, etc.

I pulled out the pages that I think might make good leaf shapes for my project.

I made a template out of regular paper.

I cut the section out of the magazine that I wanted. I folded it in half and traced the template onto the magazine page.

I cut the shape out. You could do a different shape if you like.

Here's a quick look at the leaf shapes.

I hot glued 2 leaves together at the base.

I placed all of the leaves onto the wood frame in a wreath shape, and I hot glued all of the leaves into place.
