I made this floating shelves for my wife, I really enjoy creating things for my family. It is a pretty simple project, and it looks great!
First, I cut 3 6 in blocks and a 2x2 25 in.
Then I placed the 6 inch blocks on the 2 x2 and then I gorilla glued them together. I put slits in the blocks to slide the glass in.
Then I weighted them down so the glue would bond nice and tight, I used heavy things like a paint can and a power drill.
I put some more weight on the top and bottom pieces, then let it dry well. You want to let it sit and dry very well!
Then I added the glass pieces in between the slits of the wood after the glued dried over night. Fits perfectly!
Then I hung it up on the wall and waited to surprise my wife...
And I'm happy to say that she loved it andI love it too!
❤️ It serves as a great place for decorative items.
This was so easy to do! Really all you need is gorilla glue, a tape measure, and ebony stain. Oh, and I put 1 screw in the back of each 6 in block of wood for safety and security.
Try it yourself!
