Painted Tile Bathroom Floor
My bathroom floor was… let’s just say not pretty. The tile was in great shape tho! So seemed a shame to rip it out when it was still totally functional. So I decided to go against all the controversial opinions about painting tile, and I painted my bathroom floor 😏😬😬😬

Here are the before pictures! We bought our first house and are trying to do everything as cheap as we can but enough that it’ll last us awhile!
Not awful…. But not great either!
First I new I had to do 2-3 coats of primer after I SCRUBBED the floors clean and dried them.
I tapped off where I didn’t want to get primer, because BIN SHELLAC PRIMER does not come off lol…. Very easily believe me.
I used a paintbrush around the toilet and edging that the roller wouldn’t get good enough coverage
I used a foam roller from the dollarstore since you’ll be tossing it out after.
I did 2 coats of primer
After my primer, I added TRIM AND DOOR PAINT in a pure white. Why ?? We’ll it’s what I had but also it adhears super well, and it was easy to clean on my trim!
I am soooo impressed with how it held to the tile and primer
Doesn’t it look so good?! I did 3 coats!!
I went back and forth between ordering a stencil or using painters tape…. And then I had a friend convince me to try free hand drawing….. oh no!
We’ll it actually wasn’t too bad!! I actually quite enjoyed it and it took no time at all
After I was happy with it! I top coated. I rolled in 3 THICK coats of polyurethane!
What do you think?! You like it?!
So far holding up great!!

Love it! I’d like to do something similar. What’s your tiles made of? I’ve got unsightly ceramic tile, wondering if your method will work for me.
thanks! 😊
❤️ It. What did u use to paint on the black. A paint brush? I couldn’t tell. I think if I just painted my grout black I would be happy but the grout lines r very narrow. I think paint brush would be too thick. Any ideas from anyone?
Would this work on sheet vynal?
