Early Summer 2014, Upstate NY

Mid-June and the perennials are still playing catch-up from their late start. Peonies in full bloom, garden phlox, lilies and geum just starting to bloom.
cute dianthus!
I do believe!
Side View
Love the walker's low catmint!
Varigated garden phlox.
Can't walk by the silver mound without petting it :-)
Spray paint is sooo much fun. Red, white and black theme this year...not quite what I saw in the magazine, but its still fun.
I over-wintered these dianthus in my barn, and they made it! No spray paint for their pot.
The annual containers keep moving to make room for the perennials that are quickly filling in.
Love the 'confetti' container with the apricot verbena and I think it's the noa sunset calibrachoa
All the gorgeous shades of merigolds!
I see more annual container movement in the very near future! The bench in the back was rescued from my neighbors trash; a flexible plastic washtub fit right in the hole in the seat.
Can't quite capture the true blue color of this lobelia, but this is pretty close
