Building a Dining Room Table

My favorite thing that my husband has built so far is our dining room table! It's already been declared a 'family heirloom' and it is precious to me.
I don't have a step by step of how he built it. You can find the plans on Ana-White.com. We made it to look like the one I loved best at Pottery Barn. It cost us $125!!!
We used the same white wood that we used on our other projects. The table is so heavy that my husband had to put the top on it in the dining room. I added felt pads to the bottom before we turned it over and it slides very easily on our hard wood floors when I need to move it.
I used the same products that I used on our other tables. The table is stained Minwax's Aged Oak.
Our previous table showed every dink and ding. Three years later, this table is exactly the same as when we finished it. White wood is very hard, if a little rustic, and does not mark at all!
I purchased upholstered chairs from an online site to add a more formal feel.
Our table blends beautifully with our antique china cabinet that my mother in law gave us years ago and adds a very personal touch to our home.
