So this is another curb shopping find. It always amazes me what people throw out. This one was for resale so we decided to give it one of our Coastal makeovers. We live in Florida so the coastal Chic look is very in which is my very favorite style as you can tell.
I started off by wiping it down with my water/vinegar spray mix to wipe off the goodies. I also lightly sanded it down and then the fun began.
I started using my chippy brush and lightly going back and forth over the entire project. I love the 1-2-3 because I because it covers any smells or colors and it's actually really easy to work with for the painting style I use.
I then went over it with my chippy brush lightly back and forth with a Minwax grey stain I had in my garage in my collection.
All of my projects get filled with water based Minwax polycrylic. It gives extra durability especially on high-traffic items such as tables and cabinets.
Here's the finished product! Just lasted less than an hour and it was so old! I was very pleased with the outcome and I have so much fun doing this technique.
