Do you have an outdated brick fireplace that happens to be the focal point of your space? Have no worries. With this simple DIY your fireplace will be your favorite focal point in no time at all! For more inspo check out: https://www.instagram.com/theflourishingfarmhouse/?hl=en

This is what it looked like when I started. It needed a change!

Prime and paint the mantel. Use as many coats of paint as you need to for full coverage.

Scrub the brick with a wet microfiber cloth.

Mix paint with water. I did about 70% water, 30% paint. You can always add more paint.

Carefully brush on your paint mixture. Brush wet and dry and dab to achieve a natural look.

Brush your high heat paint onto any gold or brass with a foam brush. Apply several coats as needed.

Before and After! Make sure to let your paint dry for 24 hours before styling. Enjoy!

I love how the finished fireplace looks! I hope you give something like this a try. Check out more of what I do on my Instagram account: The Flourishing Farmhouse
