Irish Blessing Stenciled Table

5 Materials
4 Days
I purchased this table at a garage sale for $5. The sale was for my friend's mom who had moved into the nursing home. She really wanted me to give it a makeover so she could buy it back.
It was a cute table but it was definitely showing it's age. It was pretty beat up. They are a very Irish family so she wanted and green and white color scheme with the Irish Blessing on top.
I used (affiliate link) Bayberry Green and Lamp White from Fusion to give the table a new look.
I added some distressing and replaced the drawer pull.
It sat like this for a while until I got up the nerve to finish off the top with the Irish blessing.
I created a stencil using my Silhouette Cameo machine with the vinyl. I will now purchase the actual stencil material because after I got the stencil painted and tried to remove it, it actually pulled up chunks of paint. UGH!
I had a lot of touch up to do. Not only on the ripped up parts but on the stencil itself. Most of the inside parts of the "O's", "P's" etc did not stick and they were so tiny. I thought it would be easier to just add a little white paint with a small brush. It took some time but it ended up looking pretty, dang good.
Added a little more distressing to the stenciled top to match the rest of the table.
She loved it so much! I even had another offer to sell it. I am so glad it was a hit after all of the work. You can see the full tutorial for the stencil on my blog by clicking on the link at the bottom! The painting of the table itself is also on my blog but is a different post. You can find it here. Have a great day,Michelle
