Recycled: Pepper Can to Sweet Treat

No sugar or most substitutes! How could I survive? I really needed some approved sweetness. Stevia (Truvia at Walmart) is fine for my bad kidney/cardio diet.
One of my favorite treats is cinnamon-sugar toast. Could I find a way to store a mixture of cinnamon and stevia? I looked for a simple, cheap container that would look different from all the other containers. And there it finally was: the ground black pepper can I had just emptied!
Now to recycle that into what I wanted.

I started out with a clean empty black pepper can. Since my husband and I have to limit our salt, we use a lot of ground pepper, Mrs. Dash, and salt-free steak seasoning. Pepper has gotten so expensive! I need to buy a large can to fill all the shakers, but I had this medium-sized can, which ended up being the best size for this project.
I also chose Heritage Collection Chalk Style paint in Cobblestone, a gift from Hometalk.com. Most of my crafts start out with Cobblestone, at least ten small projects so far, and not even down 1/4 of an 8 oz. jar. So I painted the pepper can.
I used three thin coats of cobblestone chalk paint to cover the previously black and white label. Chalk paint can be used as a primer, a paint, and a top coat. Starting with the second coat, I textured the cobblestone with the tip of the foam brush I used.

Then I added some colored alphabet stickers to spell Cinnamon Stevia on the can. I painted the whole label with, of all things, fingernail polish!
The bottle of L. A. Colors (clear) Basecoat Topcoat was small enough for me to handle as my left fingers held the can by the cap. I used three coats, preserving the textured label and the stick on letters.
I think this photo shows all the supplies I used. I used a dot of Elmer’s All Purpose White Glue to hold the capital C on the curve of the can. I also glued a strand of tassel around the top edge.

Here she is, in all of her beauty, ready to star in the approved ingredients in the cabinet! And I can’t wait to have cinnamon toast.

My last pay check was $9500 working 12 hours a week online. My sisters friend has been averaging 15k for months now and she works about 20 hours a week. I can't believe how easy it was once I tried it out. This is what I do... http://ow.ly/6aco30gcA3A
