Bring Life to Your Boring Patio Furniture

Does your patio furniture look like this? What I once loved, I can love again! That's my motto and I'm sticking to it. Find out what these chairs look like now!
Chances are your patio furniture looks something like this, right? It's seen much better days, the sun has faded the color, the fabric is frayed and it just simply doesn't look inviting.

With the weather breaking here in Kansas City I went to the patio to take in the fresh warm air. Only to be disgusted at how horrific the patio furniture looked. I couldn't stand it. Instead of sitting and relaxing I took charge and started updating the look of this patio furniture.
I began by wiping down the frame with TSP. I ended up using bondo for fix a few of the frayed edges. I then painted the fabric with a coat of Amy Howard One Step Paint in Indian Summer, isn't that color gorgeous?

Next, I used Chevron Frog Tape and as a trick of the trade painted the edges of the Frog Tape to ensure there would be no bleed.

I moved on to painting the chevron stripes in by using Amy Howard One Step Paint in Ballet White.
The "new to me" patio furniture turned out better than I could've imagined. It brings life into the back yard and I'm so excited to host a party at the house just so that I can enjoy it!

I invite you over to the link below for the complete step by step tutorial and to learn a few more tricks of the trade!
Now this is a patio table that friends and family will be happy to be around! Now...to throw a party!

I just want to know .. can I use chalk paint or one step paint on the fabric of the patio chairs? Our patio furniture is same as yours!

Do you have a recommended technique for painting the fabric? Mine came out splotchy, with some areas getting better coverage than others.

This is one of the smartest projects I’ve seen! Bravo! And the tip about the bondo was spot on- I’ve been searching for a sling fabric repair hack forever and this is the first one I have seen. I’m so grateful to know the paint products to use and not be wasting time. Thank you so much!!!
