I have some beautiful succulents in my garden, but I needed a nice area for them. They were kind of just out there in the garden. This all ended today after I found this treasure at Goodwill. I found a new home for my succulents!
I started by cutting the top part off of the turtle. This way I can rest the succulents inside the basket. I then sprayed the inside and outside of the basket with clear spray.
Once the basket was fully dry, I added one of those clear round drip pans you put under plant pots to the inside of the basket. I punched a few holes in the tray so the water can leak out properly. Then I filled the tray with little rocks and cactus potting mix. Once I finished with that, I planted my succulents.
I added some little rocks from the Dollar Tree around the succulents jut in spots you could see the potting mix.
I then added a dragonfly and butterfly from the Dollar Tree. It's done! Now my succulents have a lovely new home :)

This is REALLY CUTE!
It would be perfect inside... AND for those who can't seem to grow succulents (Me!) I have found some really nice looking artificial ones on Ebay. Lots of varieties and usually for less than $1 each.. many with free shipping.
This would be really cute on a book shelf...
