They can be refinished, painted,and/or repurposed as new storage. One idea is to make it into a coffee bar.

Please ask in the form of a sentence. We don't know what you want to do. Refinish, paint?
Chalk painting is the easiest as it requires little to no prep, dries fast and give a beautiful impact when done. Sand edges for antique look or burnish edges with antiquing wax.
You can convert to a pantry, coffee bar, or entertainment center.
A question would be helpful. Not mind readers.
Nora: maybe this will help

What are you wanting to do with a armoire
I would love to hear what you're interested in doing with the armoire,
What do you want to do with the Armoire? Paint it, repurpose it. Can you attach a photo?
If you want to change the look of your armoire, I recommend a product called Citristrip to strip off any paint, varnish, or wax. Once you get it stripped down, you can change the whole look of it with stain or paint with color of your choice.
