When the DH and I first moved into our apartment, we received a set of Ikea chairs (stefan). They were SUPER uncomfortable, so I got these lame cushions at Ikea for about 6$. They are super ugly, and I've wanted to

.

Shout out to Moe Mernick, who was my INSPO :)

Here's the before. BORING!

Here's what I used:

  • Ikea chair
  • Ikea chair cushion
  • Bunch of cheap scarves (got them at a nearby store for 5$ a piece, but you can find them anywhere
  • Staple gun
  • Scizzors
  • Drill or screwdriver (I thought I would need the drill, but with these chairs, the screwdriver worked just fine)
  • Friday cheer :)

First: Unscrew the base of the chair from the frame.

Second: Cover the frame and tighten the fabric over it, with the cushion between the fabric and the chair. Make sure you are pulling tight in all directions so you don't have annoying creases.

Third: Use staple gun to attach the fabric to the bottom of the base.

Fourth: Cut off the excess fabric

Fifth: Screw the base back onto the frame.

Finished product!

I made six of these bad boys! I'm loving the leapord, bring on the funk :)
