If you're having trouble opening them I know people who have suggested using petroleum jelly. You can really dress drawers up too by adding wall paper to the inside of them!
You could make shelfs turn them up side down paint them and use bottom part to put things on put it upside down on wall and the draw front on the front opening on the bottom or put on the wall flat like a shadow box and add shelfs inside then screw to the wall
