Ways to Disassemble a Pallet

When using pallets for your projects, you will find that pallets are usually sturdily built and sometimes hard to disassemble. Hammer and Pry Bar Method - One option is to manually remove the nails. To do this, the best tools to use are a pry bar and a hammer. A pry bar to wedge between and seperate the top slats of the pallet from the bottom rail pieces and then the claw of the hammer to remove the nails. I used my neighbors pry bar tool and the pallets came off super easy.. Still a lot of work though, but hey at least I'm getting some exercise!! Today I bought a nice pry bar for $5.99 at Harbor Freight.. I love taking pallets apart!! The one I pulled apart today was kind of damp from the rain, but I gotto tell u guys the boards came off so easily!!! Now on to making some school stuff!!
