I did enjoy your project, however, here are a few tips. Maybe you should reconsider where you put this, as these plants need direct sunlight, not just indirect. A simple solution without a garden window would be to place the rack right up in a window. There’s usually a ledge above a window about 2-4 inches wide, just screw it right into that area and let it rest against the window. One with plenty of sun!
You also need a drip pan. Add another shelf to the bottom the same distance apart as the other shelves. Set a long narrow pan or plastic container or 3 separate devices on the wood. It will catch the water from all 3 shelves of pots because they are all underneath each other.
Just so you know, they don’t make hole saws that big for regular people. They may do so for a large business but not for us. Jig saws can be tricky. Measure out your hole on the top and the bottom of the wood. One should be directly above the other. Cut your circle out then flip the wood to insure you got the whole thing. If you didn’t, your marks on the other side will reveal what you still need to cut and cut it from that side.
Hope this helps! For your first time, you did an excellent job!
